For those of us who grew up fantasizing about Paul Newman, his death has left us shaken. Though he was my father's age (nothing Freudian about this...really), he was the iconic "bad boy"....the mischief in his eyes lit fires inside. Different than Brando's laconic sensuality. Though a very unmemorable movie, the last shot in Hombre was a stunning close up of a "dying" Paul Newman in his stellar glory.
